Hello lovelies! Sorry for the lack of updates. A few weeks ago I was told that I was being let go at my job. A place I’ve worked for about 1/3 of my life. For the past 3 years I’ve been running the place, and at the end of this month, I wont be running it anymore. So my spare time has been spent figuring out Unemployment and getting my ducks in a row so I have avenues to make money after I’m gone.
That being said, I decided to start a new series based on my obsession with Etsy where I can showcase all the goodies I discovered in the past week. Just FYI: this post is done purely out of love for these artists, I don’t get any kickbacks for this. 🙂
Okay, let me just say I could do an entire post based on everything Kate Gabrielle has listed in her shop. Such amazing stuff that includes 90s nostalgia, X-Files buttons and very cute art. But this book fair nostalgia kit just hit home for me. I LOVED Goosebumps growing up, they’re a big part of why I a who I am today. Even though I eventually moved on to Fear Street, Goosebumps was my first love. And Book Fairs were my comic cons of Elementary School. I would beg my mom for money and walk away with a bunch of little things, and a book or two, very similar to what’s included in this kit. She also has an amazing Babysitter’s Club version too.
Dave Pollot has done this genius thing where he buys old paintings from thrift shops, and then paints in different pop culture scenarios. He’s got paintings that include Star Wars, Video Games, Futurama and different sea monsters (which my husband loves). I seriously added half his shop to my favorites, but I love this Doctor Who one the most. It’s such a cool idea, and some of them are kinda creepy. I would totally frame it and put it up and pretend that the Weeping Angel some how got stuck in the painting because the Doctor put it there. So nerdy, I know. But I love it!
These drinking jars are so rad!! They’ve been on my radar for a while now, and I’ve been coveting them each time I go on Etsy. I want to get a set of four of them, each one with a different quote (they’ve got other Lord of the Rings ones, and also Harry Potter and Game of Thrones among others). Each one is hand made, so no two jars are the same, which I think totally adds to the charm.
This is another one I found a while ago. I’m so sad that the shop is currently closed, so I’m just waiting until it opens back up. But they’ve got all the fandom faves! Doctor Who, Firefly, Supernatural, Sherlock, Hannibal, Star Trek, Game of Thrones (you can see what they used to have by checking out their Sold Page).. I would buy SO many of these! It’s such a brilliant idea. I want them to come back so they can take my money (actually, it’s probably a good thing they are closed right now, haha).
Twins Geek Shop took two things I love, and merged them into one, and I love them for that! These are so freakin cute! The shop says that they aren’t sure if they will make more if they sell out.. so I’m honestly seriously contemplating getting one.
